When you create an account on studywithsage.com, we collect your email address and password. Your password is hashed using industry-standard encryption and is never stored in plain text. This data is necessary for the performance of the tutoring service contract pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting studywithsage.ai@gmail.com.

Tutoring session data

When you use Sage we collect the content of your tutoring sessions including questions asked, subjects studied, session duration, and timestamps. This data is used to provide the tutoring service and personalize your learning experience. Session content is never used to train AI models. Your sessions are private by default and are never shared with third parties.

Contact by email

If you contact us by email, your message including all personal data arising from it will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not share this data without your consent.

Children's privacy

Sage is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under 16 should obtain parental consent before using the service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data please contact us at studywithsage.ai@gmail.com to delete it immediately.

5. Payment Processing

Stripe

For the processing of payments on our platform, we use the payment service Stripe. The provider is Stripe Inc., 510 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA.

When you make a payment on studywithsage.com, Stripe collects and processes your payment data including your card details, billing address, and transaction information. We never see or store your full card details directly. Stripe is PCI DSS certified and complies with the highest standards for payment security.

The legal basis for processing payment data is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data transfer to the USA is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission. Further information: stripe.com/privacy

6. Plugins and Tools

Anthropic Claude AI

Our platform uses Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic PBC, 548 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA. When you ask questions during a Sage tutoring session, your question is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude model to generate a response. Your session content is not used by Anthropic to train their AI models under our agreement.

Anam.ai Voice Avatar

Our platform uses the voice avatar service provided by Anam.ai. When you use the voice avatar feature, audio and video stream data is processed by Anam to generate and deliver the avatar's speech in real time. The use of Anam is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Supabase

We use Supabase for database storage and user authentication. The provider is Supabase Inc., 970 Toa Payoh North, Singapore. Supabase stores your account data, session history, subscription information, and other platform data necessary to provide the service. Data is stored in secure, encrypted databases with row-level security enabled.
